As part of the proposals under discussion, Irish Citylink’s coach services will be outsourced to Callinan Coaches. Irish Citylink currently operates a wide network of passenger coach services connecting Ireland’s major Cities and International Airports. Irish Citylink is confident that Callinan Coaches, awarded Coach Operator of the Year (2010), will operate its scheduled network of services to the highest standard. Citylink and Callinan have agreed to enter a five-year agreement to cement their partnership. Cathy Cullen, MD of Irish Citylink, said: ‘’Callinan Coaches and Irish Citylink share a strong commitment to providing excellent customer care, delivering a first class service consistently using modern, luxury coaches all fitted with Wi-Fi to deliver a comfortable and enjoyable journey’’. ‘’This decision by Irish Citylink to outsource its operations to Callinan Coaches is an integral part of our strategy to strengthen and consolidate our operations in Ireland. It also serves to reaffirm Irish Citylink’s commitment to provide top quality affordable inter-city coach services to the people of Ireland’’, she added. Irish Citylink is a fully-owned subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, one of the world’s largest global operators of passenger land transport services and which is based in Singapore.
