BMC PLC is delighted to announce the delivery of a new BMC Karisma, Luxury 35 seater Midi Coach to McAvoys of Greyabbey, Ireland. This is the third BMC vehicle Robin has taken over the past 7 years; the first a Pro-bus 850 in 2003 was replaced in 2005 by a newer version and recently the third vehicle, a Karisma. We are delighted to have such a loyal customer and it is always a pleasure to welcome back existing clients.

Robin has very kindly provided a testimonial; what better way than to hear about it than from the customer himself; Robin McAvoy wrote;

“Even though we only took delivery ten days ago the coach has already successfully been deployed on two back to back tours to The Edinburgh Tattoo, the first group to travel were the Sainfield Ladies WI, they were very impressed with the comfort and finish of the new coach, which they confirmed in the form of a repeat booking for a five day tour to North Wales In August 2010. 

As you are aware this is the third BMC Mid sized coach we have purchased, the first 2003 model had her moments, with 16 days of the road in two years of operation, mainly to have retrofits carried out, but I have to admit the coach never ever let us down once.  The second coach purchased new in 2005 was a great step forward, we operated the vehicle for almost four years with no real problems, the coach was used on private tours all over the United Kingdom, Ireland, Holland and Northern Germany, during that time apart from routine maintenance the only parts replaced were a ferry lift valve, four fuses and a couple of suspension leveling rods costing very little.

We also found that prior to finishing a deal with yourselves when offered to a couple of main stream coach brand dealerships our BMC would have easily been accepted as a trade in,  therefore the good residual value meant that depreciation was kept at a very acceptable level.

From the first time I viewed our new Karisma the vast improvements in interior finish and build quality was evident, and from a drivers perspective the extras like cruise control, and the new ecomat auto gearbox is brilliant, the thing  almost drives its self !, the Sutrak air-conditioning gives the passengers and driver alike a very comfortable environment to travel in. In my opinion you guys now have a product that will give the truck based alternatives in the mid sized coach market, something serious to contend with!”
